Third, use the utility knife to cut out the outlines of the canoe pieces. Ensure that all pieces of the canoe can fit properly and correctly to the canoe. Tape each piece together to ensure all pieces are proper, not too large or too small to assemble. Then disassemble the pieces and trace them onto your sheets of balsa wood. Use utility knife or jigsaw to cut out the pieces of balsa wood that will form the canoe.
Fourth, glue the 2 sides of the canoe together at the front ends to form a point. This is the front of the canoe actually. You can place the middle frame in between the sides, halfway down the length of the sides, and glue it into place. Use glue to attach the sides to the back panel of the canoe using glue. Wait for a minute to allow the glue to dry.
Fifth, glue the frame of the canoe to the hull and let the glue dry completely. Glue the gunwales into places, as well as the canoe's seat. Allow the glue to set thoroughly.
